High Cholesterol at Whataburger

Calorie intake is the main concern for people with high cholesterol while dining at a fast-food restaurant like Whataburger. Well, you can always try the Lighter & Smaller options from the menu to cut down your fat intake. Opting for grilled sandwich or burgers are preferred compared to double meat or triple meat cheesy burgers which contain high cholesterol.

The burgers are really tasty! The regular burgers are perfect for smaller appetites (I had the double) and great burger works for when you're really hungry. The onion rings are the bomb! Oh and the green chile had a nice bite to it...not too hot and not too mild. Since everything is made to order and fresh, it does take a little longer for your order l, but its worth it!

Saw the store advertised in local paper and decided to check out the restuarant. Went to the resraurant with my family and the food was ok. The burgers were better than a McDonalds but I would consider Five Guys better.

Very very good burger. Was suggested to call in but the phone was busy. Tried calling 8 times and never got through so I headed down to order. Quality meat and you cannot beat their homemade fries.

Delicious burgers, not dripping with grease like some other places we've been to. I love that they grill the buns. Make sure u are not in a rush if it's busy, orders seemed to take a while. We will definitely come back next time we're in the area.

Simply the best. Always fresh and always worth the wait. Burger Nook not only serves up some of the most classic hamburger and fry combinations but is also a true Las Cruces institution. If you don't think the burgers here are among some of the finest "in taste and flavor" than you probably have an underdeveloped palate (that means taste buds for all of you C students out there) and if your complaining about the wait, CALL AHEAD dummy.

If you want fresh daily cut fries, and a burger with a little extra crunchy exterior this is your place. The 'Great American' burger is a must have for newcomers. Unlike other places in town, everything is cooked fresh. So yeah you're going to be waiting a bit longer, but it's worth it. There's a reason this place is always busy. :)

Best burgers in cruces!! Reason it isn't five stars is because of the slow service. You must call in an hour or so before hand if you want to eat without waiting. I get about three ketchup burgers with green chili (be careful, its super hot,, as it should be!) and it's enough to keep my 20-year-old-girl-self full. The fries are also very good. If you have some time to kill while you're waiting, I recommend walking down the street to leo's doughnuts....by far the best in town! Happy feasting!

Declicious and affordable - a winning combination. It isn't the speed of service or the fries - it is the delicious, affordable, handmade burgers that earn Burger Nook 5 stars. Their regular burgers are $0.90 per burger and are simple and delicious - pickle, lettuce, mustard, onion and green chile. Add cheese for $0.35. The bun is toasted on the grill, too. They are brought out in a plastic tray all lined up and are wonderfully hot and delicious with fresh flavors. Fries are hand cut, but are soggy. Interestingly, the entire cooking process is in full view of the dining area. I like to see where and how the food is created. Atmosphere is casual and you never feel rushed.

The fresh cut fries were a welcome change from fast food fare and they weren't overly salty. I ordered the larger size single hamburger with green chiles. It was just the right amount if heat coupled with the bite from the onion. Overall, a good experience from a no frills family friendly greasy spoon.

holy crap....found this place by accident and what an awesome accident.....if you want a greasy tasty real burger and fries, you must try this place.....not a good place if you are on a diet or want a healthy choice.

I am not a regular (although I have been there a number of times), and they seemed to know this from the get go when I showed up on a Saturday, There were five people inside when I placed an order for 12 burgers to go (no special orders, just "as is" burgers), in the time I waited many people arrived and many orders were placed. All were served in the hour that I waited. A table of over ten had their entire meal in the time that I waited. Needless to say, I am going to be hesitant about coming back, as I do not have all of time in the world to wait on burgers. Also, while good, their burgers pale in comparison to Day's.

SLOWEST SERVICE EVER!!!! I was here today with just a few people in front of me. We ordered two green chile cheese burgers and one order of fries to go. We were told it would be 25-30 minutes. We were shocked by this, since there wasn't a crowd and it was just two burgers. The woman taking the order said she'd tell them to rush our order. (This was the same woman who actually was making the burgers, so yeah, she didn't really have to tell anybody anything). In the end, our burgers ended up taking one hour and 10 minutes to get. Yeah, they were good and they're cheap, but no burger is worth that wait. I wanted to walk out. We complained and asked for a discount and her response was to hand us a menu and told us to call ahead next time if we didn't want to sit around and wait. Seriously, if it was on the basis of the burger, I'd give this a four star. The fries were soggy and disappointing, though. However, given the time it took to get the burger and the non-response to our complaint...not even a sorry, I can only give this place a one star and I'll never come back here again. I can get a burger much faster at pretty much any other place in Cruces that sells burgers.

Good homemade burgers. My rating would have been higher if they included tomatoes on their burgers and with less mustard. Service was a little slow but we did not have any deadlines, so that was not a problem. Fries were okay.

Anytime you're in Las Cruces, COME HERE!!!!! This is definitely the most unique burger place I've ever been. It's got a great atmosphere and the name works perfectly - it is a little nook with burgers. The food here is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP and great for the price but decent overall Now let's get down to specifics: + the staff is so cute and unique. The three sisters sharing duties ordering cooking and serving. It's really fun + Ordering system - they use a college ruled spiral notebook to take your order. I've never seem it before but it works well + Green Chiles - decent spice and def add something to the burgers. + 4 Mini burgers for $2.69 are a great deal and very filling! - Wait time - it takes a fairly long time for your order to come up, so don't be in a hurry here We'll definitely be back anytime we're in LC or driving by

Ate here once. The food is delicious, but it took over an hour to get our 3 burgers and fries. Make sure you have lots of time to kill.

Local hole-in-the-wall that serves "snack bar burgers": flat, thin, crunchy around the edges. They make them when you order, so it takes awhile, but they are good and the green chile is hot with good flavor. The fries, while hot, were cooked at too low a temp and therefore soggy. The onion rings were crispier, nothing special. The $0.90 regular burgers come in four packs, the super is a better way to go. Curious little place.

Great burgers, fresh cut fries, good onion rings, plus good and friendly service! Best Burgers in Las Cruces!

  • Deanna G.

Best darn burger place on the planet. Hands down. Is it fancy? NO, not at all - and it's in a somewhat crappy part of town -but it's worth it for the those wonderful wonderful hamburgers. They ladies who own and run the place are always friendly and even though it's sometimes years between visits they always remember me! Seriously - no better burger anywhere.

  • Ashleigh Q.

These burgers are amazing and SO well priced! The staff is also amazing, making it a fun and light hearted environment! Also, the restaurant is very clean! Even though the place was packed the tables were clean and being wiped down and the service was friendly and quick!

Burger Nook has great burgers! Def need to go on a day where you are not rushed and can wait 40 minutes to 1 hour for your burger (also depending on how many people are in front of you) ! Def worth the wait though! Onion rings and fries are great as well.

  • Bunny J.

Okay...$0.59 for a homemade hand made patty, charbroiled burger with a perfectly toasted-on-the-grill bun. Get 4 regular burgers for only $2.25....mmm, they're so delicious! Fresh french fries made of real potatoes. Hot dogs and tacos for only $0.75. The prices are amazing, the taste is simply addictive and the staff is friendly. Burger Nook is quite the successful hole in the wall and a treasure in Las Cruces. Locals know that you may have to order ahead or entertain yourself if you walk in and order...but it's defintely worth the wait! Can I add that these are the tastiest tacos I've had out here? Even at 10:30am, you'll find Burger Nook's biggest supporters seated at their tables with the look of satisfaction as they take a juicy bite of their burgers. I'm already anticipating my next visit!

  • Scott W.

Not only are these the best burgers I have found in Las Cruces while being here for work, they rank up there with some of the best burgers you will find anywhere. The price is also fantastic. The staff is very friendly, and even though it looks like a "hole in the wall" the place is very comfortable. If you want a great burger in Las Cruces, this is the place.

Hmmmm... Let's see. 8 burgers, onion rings and some fries for 8 bucks. Hmmmm... yep. The place kicks ass. The burgers are kinda small but tasty, and for the price? Who can complain? The women behind the counter were pleasant and friendly, the decor was adequate, and again - the food for the price! I will definitely be going back there again!
